Starbuck’s? Seattle’s? Figaro? Name it!

when i was in manila, Seatle’s Best was very good.. I didin’t try Starbucks.

This will be my first itme visiting, though I’ll only be able to stay for a few days. Thank you for your help..

I would check out:

Grand Central Station — I know it’s a train station, but it’s historic and they give guided tours, it’s really amazing.

Empire State Building

Central Park

Chelsea Piers — For some fun bowling, batting cages etc.

Times Square — Tons of Eateries

33rd Street — The Manhattan Mall is here along with many other stores.

Macy’s Herald Square — The mothership of the Macy chain

best mcdonald coffee drink?

Man, that ad campaign is big… i tried their hazelnut and it was ok…. but i haven’t tried the other flavors. I’m planning to stop by there later tonight. Which flavor cofee should i get?

I love Hazelnut flavors, but since you mentioned it not being such a big hit..I would have to say try the Vanilla one. I received in the mail a coupon from sundays paper where I have a coupon for a free coffee drink of theirs. What better way to try it when it’s free!

Do anyone remember a movie with a large coffee cup on a billboard?

There was a movie I saw when I was a kid that I think was in black and white, it had a giant coffee cup on a billboard that tipped over. I believe the story had something to do with a radio station program.

I have searched key words online but have never been able to find any information on it.

Sound familiar to anyone???

Athanael fumbles his first try when he saves Archie’s accomplice, Fran, from suicide. His second chance seems doomed when he’s forced to leave his trumpet as security for a meal he can’t pay for. But he gets it back just in time for a final confrontation with his desperate adversaries, dangling with them from the roof, only seconds from midnight.

I saw this one New Year’s night on TV when I was about 11. The second time I saw it was last night when it was on cable. It was true to my memory. Jack Benny WAS stuck in a giant coffee cup and it WAS an extremely funny movie. The coffee cup gag is one of the most surreal things I’ve ever seen in a movie from Hollywood’s golden age. Imagine a Tex Avery cartoon done in live action and you’ll get an idea of the visual. Jack Benny really does look as if he’s being filmed in a mechanized coffee cup/coffee pot/coffee spoon structure. It’s incredible. Harold Lloyd would have been hard-pressed to match this scene.
