How to make a Vanilla Latte?
I am trying to be economical here.
I have the vanilla syrup from Starbucks, a cheap milk frother, and a regular coffee maker.
With these three tools what is the best way to make a good vanilla latte??
This one is a delicious recipe for vanilla latte flavoured with almond extract. You will need around three large cups of milk, two teaspoons of vanilla extract and two cups of brewed coffee preferably a rich roast one from Maxwell house. Assuming that you do not have an espresso machine, you will need a saucepan of moderate size. You will have to heat the three cups of milk in the saucepan over a slow fire until nice and warm. Continue to use a wire whisk to constantly beat the milk to keep forming foam. What this does is it makes the latte nice and frothy. You will have to stop heating the saucepan and add the vanilla and coffee to it. All during this phase keep on steering the mixture so that it blends in well. You can add a quarter teaspoon of almond extract to add to the flavour.
